Albuquerque is New Mexico’s largest city and the hub for many of our largest employers and industries. Albuquerque is home to the University of New Mexico (UNM), Kirtland Air Force Base, Sandia National Laboratories, the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History, Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute, Central New Mexico Community College (CNM), and Presbyterian Health Services. It is also the center for New Mexico’s film industry which many feature films and television shows are filmed in and around the city.
The city is split by the beautiful Rio Grande. There are countless outdoor activities for active residents, including rock climbing, hiking, skiing and many more. Albuquerque gets over 250 days a year of sunshine and with its mild climate, the weather is great year round. I-40 and I-25 run through the city with I-40 heading east and west and I-25 running north and south.
Both highways allow for quick connection to anyone in New Mexico and the Southwest. For commuters to Santa Fe, The New Mexico Rail Runner runs from the city directly to Santa Fe with a number of stops in both cities. Albuquerque offers affordable neighborhoods with a big city feel yet, not over populated. For more information on Albuquerque or to search for homes, click on the button below.
